The Community Development Match Fund is about helping groups deliver new initiatives that foster strong, innovative and vibrant communities. If you have a great idea for a community project, you may be eligible for a grant from the Match Fund (have a read of our guidelines for applicants (464kb pdf) to see if your project meets the application criteria).

There are two different grants you can apply for – small (up to $1,000) or medium (up to $10,000).

Applications are now open for our November 2017 medium grants. Community groups can apply for small grants of up to $1,000 at any time.

The Match Fund will help fund your project by covering up to 50% of your project costs (up to a maximum of $10,000 and subject to meeting certain eligibility criteria).

The Match Fund aims to:

  • Empower communities to improve and strengthen their neighbourhoods
  • Connect communities by encouraging them to work, play and talk together
  • Renew and revitalise local places and spaces
  • Improve the quality of life in communities and neighbourhoods
